What's new for 2023?
With the start of the 2023 season well under away, we have been working on improving our existing facilities for our campers. Last year we finished the renovation of one side of the boys toilet block. We are now nearing completion of the whole renovation, including new flooring for both sides.
New, smaller rifles have arrived for younger ages (Cubs/Scouts) to give shooting a go.
Archery has new targets, not just your normal black, blue, red and yellow ones! Making it more interactive for the young people.
The Apline hut has also had some much needed love to its interior. It has had a new paint job along with replacement curtains to match with the Clarke huts interior. The floor has also been refitted.
The facility now offers a projector and a movable island serving unit, making this space the ideal location for training events as well as general use.
Planned Improvements
Along with the maintanance that has been achieved by the team over the last couple of months, future improvements are also being done throughout the year to further improve facilities for all members.
September will welcome the start of revamping the climbing tower, including new routes.
While Tomahawks is a new addition to the site, it will also be getting its own range on the site with multiple different targets to practice your throwing abilities.
That’s a lot going on, on top of the ongoing maintenance of the site and general upkeep. Want to be apart of the Oaks Campsites future? Why not become part of the Team and help around the site to give young people an unforgettable adventure at the Oaks.
