Campfire Circles & Alter Fires

There’s nothing better than having a good sing along by a campfire after a fun day of activities during camp. By the buildings there sits a large campfire circle with plenty of seating and a stage for doing sketches as well as singing. If this is in use though or you would like a fire in another location for backwoods cooking (and warmth in the evenings), there are also portable alter fires free to use. The wood supply on site is always plentiful too, however this is not always guaranteed to be dry!

Wide Games

We love having the whole campsite being put to good use, so our on-site activities aren’t the only option if leaders are up for running their own self-led activities. Located at the top of the field are 2 bases that have recently been freshened up by our district explorers. These are perfect for wide games such as capture the flag. Having the field and forest area bordered by stone walling makes it suitable for knowing boundaries for other wide games too.

Pioneering

The campsite also has a supply of pioneering poles for campers to borrow and see what ideas they come up with. Our wardens will happily be judges for groups to see who has the best structure!

Hike Routes

There are a number of hike routes that can be done from the campsite, making it suitable for day hikes and Duke of Edinburgh expeditions.

Activity Boxes

We offer a wide range of pre-made activity boxes for your group to use. Such as Circus Skills and Outdoor Games.
