We were recently joined for an afternoon party by past and present volunteers, friends and supporters, to celebrate 50 years of the campsite as we know it today.
Our celebrations included Bijal, our County Commissioner and Phil, Chairman of the campsite management committee, unveiling a commemorative plaque, the eating of our special birthday cake, and the burying of a present day time capsule along with reburying of time capsules from Millennium camp and County Centenary cub camp.
The afternoon was finished off with a fabulous hog roast and more tea.
A huge thank you to all that have been or continue to be involved with the campsite.
Here’s to the next 50 years.
